Casey Lurie Studio is a small design studio based in Chicago. We produce a focused collection of furniture integrating craft and industrial techniques with careful attention to detail, scale, and proportion. Each piece is made to order using sustainably sourced North American hardwoods and natural oil and wax finishes. Our hands-on approach to design and production has allowed us to hone our sensibility and focus on the materials, methods, and typologies best suited to our strengths. Our furniture is designed with daily life in mind — it is highly functional and formally rigorous, resulting in pieces with a timeless quality which are easy to live with and age gracefully. The Current section of this website shows the pieces that we actively produce. Since the launch of our first designs in 2012, our main focus has been on open shelving and tables, often incorporating inventive construction and assembly details. By limiting our offerings to these two categories we can be uncompromising on quality and provide design and customization services to each of our clients. Contact us directly with inquiries about lead times, customization, and our trade program. In addition to our studio production, we work with like-minded artists, designers, and manufacturers to develop a wide range of projects; a selection of collaborations and past works can be seen in the Past section. Studio visits are welcome by appointment.
