Named for the lap joints that make up its structure, Lap table serves the basic function of a side table with a place for reading materials. When viewed straight on, the form, structure, and function are revealed to be in perfect harmony. Constructed by hand using traditional joinery techniques.

WORK

2016/2021


Work table is a contemporary take on the traditional working tables used by artists and designers for centuries. The choice of materials combined with the robust construction give the table a timeless feel, resulting in a piece of furniture well suited to a variety of applications. It's a sturdy and practical work table, and functions equally well as a dining or console table. The distinctive ratcheting mechanism allows for heights ranging from 30-42 inches for sitting or standing. The large table seats six to eight people while the desk is for a single person.

OVERPASS2022

Overpass is a contemporary dining table inspired by the simple forms and robust construction of freeway architecture. Foregrounding the natural beauty of solid wood, a blackened steel chassis gracefully connects a thick tabletop to pillar-like legs. 

The steel framework supports custom lengths of up to 18 feet using just four legs. Despite its substantial size and weight, the table maintains an airy presence, with the tabletop appearing to float from certain angles. Comfortably seats 10 people.

Pylon shelving consists of overhanging, interleaved shelves grounded by stacked, conical spacers. These solid elements add visual weight and totemic structure to the system’s organizational logic. Assembling easily, the elements are simply stacked and clamped together with cam levers.

Primo shelving system is composed of notched wooden planks and poles, and metal supports which double as subtle accents. Delivered in a flat pack, the shelving assembles easily without tools or hardware, the parts simply interlock. When several units are lined up the spacing between the poles remains consistent. Available in two standard configurations and infinite custom configurations.

Highly versatile, 30/30 functions as a room divider, bookcase, and screen; working equally well against a wall or dividing large spaces as a freestanding structure. Individual units can also form part of a larger modular system: multiple units can be lined up side-by-side and the vertical partition spacing remains consistent.

BALLAST

2015


Ballast table, named for the two hefty uprights which form its structure, is a generously sized coffee table. Careful attention to proportion and the arrangement of parts give the Ballast table it's characteristic form with nooks for storing books and other small objects. Constructed by hand using floating tenon joinery.

TAUT seating features elemental combinations of bent and welded stainless steel rod over which leather seats and backs are stretched and hand stitched. Uniquely shaped by the application of heat to the stretched leather, the look is structured yet airy and produces a comfortable, supportive seat. TAUT seating includes a chair, armchair, and stools.&#38;nbsp;Prototypes produced for the inaugural Maison&#38;amp;Objet Americas Rising Talent exhibition.
